English Proficiency

A minimum proficiency level of B2 in English is required for single-cycle, master's, and master's degree programs taught in English.

A B1 level is sufficient for the Foundation Course.

Before submitting applications for pre-registration and visa on the University of Siena portal, it is necessary to possess this competence.

Those who do not demonstrate adequate linguistic knowledge may not be admitted to further admission or access tests/a.

Citizens of the following countries are exempted from submitting English language certifications: Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, British overseas territories, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, Malta, New Zealand, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, the United Kingdom and the United States.

In addition, applicants of any nationality who have obtained their entry qualification for enrolment through a program taught in English, are exempted from submitting language certifications, provided that they can prove that English was the official language of instruction. A formal certification or letter from the educational institution that confirms the program has been taught entirely in English must be provided to demonstrate this.

Applicants who are not exempted must submit one of the following language certifications:

an internationally recognized language certification among those accepted by our University:
