For admission to the curriculum taught in English, minimum B2-level previous knowledge of English is required, and must be attested by an international certification recognized as valid by the University, or an equivalent certification issued by the University’s Language Centre (Centro Linguistico di Ateneo), or by another University upon passing a B2-level exam.

After the enrolment in Siena, students having an international certification must present it to the CLA office and apply for recognition. The CLA is located in Piazza San Francesco 7, Siena (more details can be found in the related website).

For students requiring to pass the B2 exam, the University of Siena offers B2 level courses. Dates of the exams and timetables of the courses are reported in the CLA website. The timetable of the English courses is also included in the MSc courses timetable.

The student may not sit any credit-bearing exam, even in the first year of the course, before presenting the above-described certification.

Specific requirements for Non-EU applicants:

FOR NON-UE
The selection test will be held on February 9, 2023, but because of the pandemic it will be administered as a DISTANCE TESTING. Exact times and evaluation methods will be communicated by February 6, 2023

Specific requirements for Non-EU applicants:

For the extra-UE students the first level course in Economics and Management is a restricted-access program: this means that applicants, in whatever system they have been educated, must satisfy specific admission requirements. Only those students meeting the admission criteria will be admitted to the course, in a number within the quota set by the Italian Ministry of Education.

ADMISSION TEST
To participate to the selection procedure, extra-UE students must have taken one of the following three tests:

SAT
SEM test

– SAT test
Details concerning the SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) are available online collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat . Extra EU students can find the nearest place where to take the test by looking at the SAT registration web page collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat/register/international . Note that no minimum score is required to take part in the selection process. When students apply they have to submit the Official SAT Score Report, the .pdf document downloadable from the personal page on the College Board website. The report must include the full name of the student and the scores for the sections: Total score, Evidence-Based Reading and Writing Section and Math Section. The SAT Essay will not be considered.

– School of Economics and Management (SEM) test
This test is aimed to assess the verbal, logical, and numerical capabilities that applicants have acquired during high school. it will be administered as a DISTANCE TESTING on 6th July 2022.

RESPONSES
Early selection ➔ Regarding only those students who submitted an Official ACT score or an Official SAT Score Report by the application closing date
By 13/06/2022 on the basis of the test score, CV and motivational letter, a list of accepted students will be provided. Accepted students will receive a letter of acceptance from the University.

Late selection ➔ Regarding those students who have not submitted an Official ACT score, nor an Official SAT Score Report by the application closing date
Students are required to sit the SEM test on 6/07/2022
However, students who will have provided an Official ACT score or an Official SAT Score Report by the day of the SEM test may be exempted from taking the test.
By 20/07/2022 on the basis of the test score, CV and motivational letter, a list of accepted students will be provided.
