Overview
Summary of the Course of study
The Master’s Degree Program in Biotechnologies of Human Reproduction LM 9 belongs to the Department of Molecular and Developmental Medicine. The course aims to train and prepare a highly specialized professional figure in the field of medically assisted reproduction. The English language is used in lectures, in practical training and in the exams, as well as during the final dissertation. Communication in English language is essential in order to enable the graduates to interact with the international academic community and to access high-level scientific literature, mostly in English.
Educational targets
The postgraduate student in LM-9 Biotechnologies of Human Reproduction has the skills, acquired by the course of studies, to handle, manipulate, cultivate and cryopreserve human gametes and embryos in order to perform first, second and third level of Assisted Reproductive Techniques (ART). In addition, the post graduate in LM-9 Biotechnologies of Human Reproduction has the skills to manage laboratories specialized in assisted reproduction and biological banks for the cryopreservation of reproductive cells and tissues. The educational project addresses the issues of reproduction with a multidisciplinary approach. It is included in a scientific context able to provide a highly qualified Italian and foreign teachers, innovative infrastructures and public and private ART laboratories that can participate in educational purposes and welcome students during their training activities.
