Language requirements | English Italian In order to take the MSc courses, students must have an adequate knowledge of the English language, at minimum B2 level, as established by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Students can demonstrate the required knowledge level either through an approved international certification (see the list) of international certifications recognized by the University of Siena), or by passing a B2 level exam at the Centro Linguistico di Ateneo (CLA). After enrolment in Siena, students having an international certification must present it to the CLA office. The CLA is located in Piazza San Francesco 7, Siena (more details can be found in the related website). For students who are obliged to pass the B2 exam, the University of Siena offers B2 level courses. Dates of the exams and timetables of the courses are reported in the CLA website. The timetable of the English courses is also included in the MSc courses timetable. Overview
The course is aimed at preparing graduates with the ability to functionally enter public or private sectors in order to carry out activities of rationalization and management of information bases, design and implementation of statistical surveys useful for understanding socio-economic and environmental phenomena.
The cultural and professional profile of the master’s degree is characterized by an adequate knowledge of the main statistical analysis techniques with particular regard to the sample surveys on finite populations, the analysis of the relationships between variables, the multidimensional data analysis and the design of the experiments and the interpretation of their results.

This Master’s Degree Course aims to train a figure of high professionalism in the field of statistical disciplines, able both to design surveys for the study of real phenomena and to analyze and interpret the information obtained.
The skills acquired during the degree program offer to/from graduates/ and employment opportunities in data analytics units of medium-sized companies and multinationals operating in various sectors, such as pharmaceutical, biomedical, ecological-environmental as well as in companies of any productive sector. I/the graduates/e can operate in the companies of the fields of credit (banks, financial, etc.), insurance, the search of the market, and the management of information systems. The preparation obtained during the course allows graduates/ graduates/ and also to undertake the liberal profession as a business consultant, insurance, or banking consultant.
