This degree course aims to train master’s graduates who have a considerable overall cultural knowledge in the humanities and who are able to understand and study specific topics in the field of literary history, philology, the history of language, literary theory, and the history of criticism. It also gives ample space to the study of foreign languages, philologies and literatures as an indispensable tool for international communication and critical reflection, even in a comparative perspective.
The degree course in Modern Literatures has two curricula taught in Italian:
- Philological, linguistic and literary
- Foreign literature

The educational project of this Degree Course aims to train professionals with profound and wide-ranging linguistic and cultural skills, required in different sectors: public relations, human resources, press offices, publishing, Italian cultural institutes abroad, libraries, centers of culture.
